About Us
Christian Donovan, Lucas Magnell, and Ai Le are juniors at the Governor’s School @ Innovation Park in the physics strand.
Christian Donovan
Christian Donovan, born and raised in Woodbridge, Virginia, attends Woodbridge Senior High School. Earlier in his life, he was involved with Tae Kwon Do, Soccer, Robotics, and Boy Scouting. After being admitted to Woodbridge Senior High School, this outgoing, ambitious, well-balanced individual have been apart of several extracurricular activities: Chess Club, Drama Club, American Sign Language, German, National Honor Society, Math Honor Society. Christian is also in two specialty programs at Woodbridge Senior High School: the Advanced Placement Scholars and Project Lead the Way. Besides his academic endeavors, Christian also dedicates his time to giving back his community. An example of which was the Conversation Project planned and executed for helping the Monarch Butterflies become more stable in population growth. Not only is Christian dedicated to his studies and in community service, his social life is also just as healthy. He attends local school sporting events with his friends, travels to different attractions with various groups, and spends time with his family.
Lucas Magnell
Lucas Magnell was born in Portland, Oregon, and later moved to Virginia in 2006. In addition to the Governor’s School, he attends his local high school, Woodbridge Senior High School, where he participates in its marching band, crew team, and PLTW program. He enjoys the outdoors, and loves hiking, swimming, and rock climbing. Through this project, he seeks to preserve the outdoors as much as possible, and further his knowledge of physics, technology, and engineering.
Ai Le
Bac-Ai “Ai” Le was born and raised in Virginia, although she moved from Mechanicsville, a town north of Richmond, to the NoVA area in 2008. Her base school is Battlefield High School, and she is a member of the IT program. Ai also has two brothers, an older one, Dat, who was also a student at the Governor’s School @ Innovation Park that graduated in June 2017, and a younger brother, Dao, who is a freshman at Patriot High School. Her hobbies include drawing, playing awful mobile games, and reading.
